QuickerSim is an engineering software development and consulting company. It is also a product partner of The MathWorks Inc.
It has been founded by two PhD candidates in Computational Fluid Dynamics from the Warsaw University of Technology based on their experience from a number of scientific and industrial projects around the world. The company's mission is to deliver very efficient CFD environment as well as top quality services in engineering.
The key product is the QuickerSim CFD Toolbox for MATLAB. QuickerSim recognized a need for a flexible and lightweight environment for performing heat and fluid flow simulations. MATLAB was the obvious choice as it is very well established in the scientific and engineering community. Primary advantages of MATLAB are the boost in productivity as well as excellent customer support. It was decided to develop the software based on the finite element method, as this is a very well known computational approach - it is taught at virtually every technical university worldwide. It is also easily adaptable to problems in the field of solid mechanics.
Engineering services range from standard CFD simulations to comprehensive design tasks. The QuickerSim team has gained experience for instance in turbine design, heat ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) analysis or development of simplified CFD codes for accelerating the product delively cycles in the automotive industry. Standard computational services such as mechanical design and stress analysis in the field of structural mechanics are also offered.
Finally, the team provides training services in the field of CFD, fluid mechanics and numerical methods. These courses are of various kinds. The introduction to the QuickerSim CFD Toolbox is the main workshop. More advanced trainings in turbulence modeling and details of computational methods are offered on demand.
Dr. Bartosz Górecki (CEO)
The founder and CEO of QuickerSim, graduate of the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering, Warsaw University of Technology (WUT). He has extensive expertise in turbulence modeling and numerical algorithms for finite element and spectral element flow solvers. He prepared his Bachelor thesis during a scholarship at the RWTH Aachen University (Germany). After that he started his research at WUT. In 2012 he won the first prize in Polish national competition for the best Master thesis in CFD. Since then he worked on multiple scientific and industrial projects including modeling of wind and gas turbines (GE and Avio) and military jet aerodynamics. He also participated in several summer and winter schools on turbulence modeling (Chalmers University, Sweden), parallel computing (CINECA in Bologna; HLRS in Stuttgart; LRZ in Munich) and thematic conferences in Barcelona (Eccomas 2014), Rome (FEF 2017). He is responsible for advanced algorithmic development of the QuickerSim CFD Toolbox. Additionally, he also leads industrial and consultancy projects for QuickerSim’s customers.
In his free time he enjoys running and latino dancing.
